Buona prima settimana di primavera a tutti!

(EN) This time I bought flower on Monday instead of Friday since the previous bunches were still looking quite good. Yesterday I went grocery shopping and stopped by the florist on my way back. She had interesting looking Gerbera flowers and their colour inspired me to choose a pretty romantic flower combination. Not exactly my usual style but quite fitting for the March equinox day.

I had my coffee from a cup made by Jatta Lavi. Each time I take this cup from the kitchen shelf I can't help admiring the harmonic shape and the lovely velvety surface. This kind of beautiful objects are besides flowers an everyday luxury that make normal moments a bit more special. Good coffee instead is something I need to keep me going so I consider it a basic necessity. :)

I must say I really don't understand how some people find buying fresh flowers or decorating the home with design furniture vain. How our surroundings look is far from being insignificant. For example, a messy home causes stress because visual noise puts a burden on our brains just like noise pollution. If the home is full of beautiful things that bring joy, they add to the well-being instead of being something futile.

Aesthetes like me are much more sensible to the surroundings than people that aren't so interested in visual things. At least in our family, not all the family members always understand why you should bring things back to their places or keep the cushions in a nice order on the sofa. Luckily there's lots of peer support available by people that totally understand the importance of a beautiful coffee cup and that you can't choose a chair only because it's comfortable (Special greetings to our interior design addict Facebook group!):)

Have a wonderful first spring week!
